Services for Students with Mobility Impairments

The Disability Resource Center and the University of Georgia offer a variety of academic and support services for students with limited mobility. Mobility issues vary depending on the type and severity of the disability. Services and accommodations are determined by a team of professionals after review of the student's documentation. A Disability Coordinator, in conjunction with the student, will develop a plan to address the student's disability related needs.

Eligibility

Services students may be eligible for include:

  1. Auxiliary Aid Services.
  2. Regularly scheduled meetings to monitor academic progress and issues related to the disability.
  3. Assistance in consulting with faculty to advocate for student needs.
  4. Student support groups.
  5. Priority registration.
  6. Access to the Assistive Technology Lab.
  7. Tutorial Referrals.
  8. Referral as needed to other campus resources.
